Scottish Airline Company To Conduct Flights Between Scotland And Turkey's Aegean Province

MUGLA - A Scottish low-cost airline company will conduct flights from Scotland to Turkey`s Aegean province of Mugla starting from April 2009.
A group of officials from Mugla`s ATM Dalaman Airport and Scottish airline company "Flyglobespan" paid a visit to the Governor`s Office of Mugla on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters after the visit, ATM`s Director General Hamdi Guvenc said that regular flights would be conducted between Scotland`s Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh cities and Mugla`s Dalaman town as of April 1st, 2009.
Guvenc said flights would be operated three days a week in the first phase.
Liam Burke, Director General of Flyglobespan, said that his company desired to benefit from Mugla`s high tourism potential.
Burke also said Flyglobespan was planning to conduct 85 flights between Scotland and Dalaman during the summer period of 2009.
Flyglobespan is a Scottish low-cost airline based in Edinburgh. It operates scheduled services from 9 airports across the UK and Ireland to 24 destinations in Europe, North America and North Africa.
