ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone conversation with the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on Wednesday.
Ban Ki-Moon called Erdogan and discussed the comprehensive negotiations that began in Cyprus.
Secretary General Ki-Moon informed Erdogan that he appreciates Turkey`s efforts to establish a `Caucasian Stability and Cooperation Platform`.
Erdogan conveyed his concerns to Ban Ki-Moon on recent developments in Kirkuk that have caused tension.
Prime Minister Erdogan requested efforts of the UN to end the tension in the region while Ban Ki-Moon thanked Turkey for its cooperation with the UN.
