Turkish Security Forces Seize Heroin & Hashish

ANKARA - Turkish security forces seized a great deal of heroin and hashish throughout the country on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, police confiscated 24 kilograms of heroin and detained two people in connection with the haul in the eastern province of Bitlis.
In a separate operation in Odemis town of the Aegean province of Izmir, gendarmery forces impounded three kilograms of hashish and arrested one person.
In the southern province of Mersin, police seized 3.5 kilograms of heroin and took into custody three people.
Gendarmery forces confiscated 43 kilograms of hashish and arrested eight people in Soma and Salihli towns of the Aegean province of Manisa.
Also, 12 kilograms of hashish was seized in the southern province of Adana, 8.5 kilograms of hashish was confiscated in the northwestern province of Bursa, and 19.5 kilograms of hashish was impounded in the southeastern province of Adiyaman.
