EDIRNE/ODEMIS/DIYARBAKIR - Turkish police seized 99 kilograms of heroin and 270 kilograms of hashish in separate operations in Turkey on Wednesday.
Police confiscated 99 kg of heroin in a caravan during an operation in northwestern province of Edirne. Two people were detained.
Separately, gendarmerie teams seized 165 kg of hashish in Odemis town of Aegean province of Izmir in an operation. Three people were taken into custody in connection with the haul.
Security forces impounded 105 kg of hashish in southeastern province of Diyarbakir, 15 people arrested in connection with the hashish.
