ANKARA - Turkish police and gendarmerie teams seized 420 kg of hashish in operations in Turkey over the past few days.
Receiving a tip, gendarmerie teams confiscated 100 kg of hashish in the Black Sea port city of Samsun, officials said.
Gendarmerie also seized 85 kg of hashish in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir and police teams impounded 210 kg of hashish in the southeastern province of Hakkari's Semdinli town.
In a separate operation in the southern province of Adana, gendarmerie squads confiscated 25 kg of hashish.
A total of 16 people were arrested in operations.
