ALMATY - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Simsek attended foreign ministers' meeting of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Kazakhstan on Monday.
Speaking at the meeting, Simsek said that if Turkey was chosen the term president of CICA, it would benefit from experiences of Kazakhstan, as well as exert efforts to advance the conference.
Simsek said that they discussed the successes and future activities of the conference during the meetings held on ministerial level.
Simsek also said that Turkey was helping Afghanistan through CICA, and he called on other member countries to assist Afghanistan, too.
Following the conference, Simsek held a meeting with Kazakh Foreign Minister Marat Tazhin.
