Turkish Doctors Travel To Democratic Republic Of Congo For Medical Examination

ADANA - Thirty-three members of the Health Professionals' Association (SAMEDER) in the southern province of Adana left for Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday for medical examination and treatment service.
Chairman of Necdet Kizilkaya told reporters that the team consisted of doctors, dentists, pharmacists, associate health personnel, and a journalist.
"Within the scope of the work jointly launched by Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), the team plans to examine 5,000 patients, have 50 surgical operations and do 200 circumcising," he said.
Kizilkaya said, "we are planning to construct a prefabricated hospital in the capital city of Kinshasa. We will talk to executives of Congo for land allocation."
