TETOVA - Turkish State Minister Nazim Ekren opened two separate branches of Ziraat Bankasi AD Skopje in Gostivar and Tetova cities of Macedonia.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ekren said Turkey expected the bank branches to help to boost trade volume between Turkey and Macedonia.
Ekren said trade volume between Turkey and Macedonia was around 300 million USD, noting that investments of Turkish entrepreneurs in Macedonia amounted to 170 million USD.
"Branches of Ziraat Bankasi will assume a role in rise of the investments in question," Ekren added.
Ziraat Bankasi Director General Can Akin Caglar, who also addressed the opening of the branches, said they expected Macedonia Ziraat Bankasi to contribute to the economic activities between the two countries.
