Five Arrested In Connection With Blast In Izmir

IZMIR - Five people were arrested on Saturday in connection with the blast in the Konak town of Aegean province of Izmir.
Three of the five people were arrested in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir on charges of being the perpetrators and two people were arrested in Izmir on charges of "aiding and abetting" the perpetrators.
The blast took place when a minibus carrying police officers and a car belonging to the military were passing by in Konak. 16 people including 7 police officers and 3 soldiers were injured in the explosion.
