IZMIR - World Jetraid Maxi Yachts and Speed Boats Race will take place in Cesme town of Turkey's western province of Izmir.
Holding a news conference at Cesme's Sheraton Hotel on Tuesday, World and European Aquarally Federation Chairman Patric Naeeogna said that races would be held in two phases.
The first phase of the race will be held on October 10, and the second one will take place on November 18 and 21, Naeeogna told reporters.
He said that nearly 2,000 speed boats would join the races.
Naeeogna said that worldwide famous singers Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson would give concerts after the award ceremonies of the races.
He added that the kings of Morocco and Spain, the prince of Monaco and many leading names were expected to watch the races.
Meanwhile, Turkish Jetsky Federation Chairman Sakir Yavuz said that 80 TV channels would broadcast the races live.
He said that the races would make a valuable contribution to promotion of Cesme.
