One Village Guard Killed In Clash With Terrorists In Van

GURPINAR - One village guard was killed in a clash that erupted between village guards and the terrorist organization PKK/Kongra-Gel in Gurpinar town of eastern Van province, sources said on Tuesday.
Sources said that members of the terrorist organization opened fire on village guards in Gurpinar's Oguldami village overnight.
The same sources said that village guard Zubeyir Guler, 40, was killed in the ensuing clash.
Operations were under way in the region, the same sources added.
