ATHENS, Aug 17 (AFP) - The Greek government has sold an 8.21 percent stake in Hellenic Petroleum to Paneuropean Oil and Industrial Holdings, a unit of the Latsis group, the Economy and Finance Ministry said Tuesday.
The sale was priced at 7.65 euros per share, resulting in a 191.85-million-euro (236.77-million-dollar) gain for the state.
The government now holds a 26.79 percent controlling stake in Hellenic, the ministry said.
Paneuropean bought a 16.65 percent stake in the company in June 2003.
