BEIRUT, Aug 17 (AFP) - Another Lebanese has gone missing in Iraq, as two others were freed after being held for 11 days, the man's father told AFP on Tuesday.
Mohamad Raad disappeared on Monday, his father Youssef said, adding that Arab satellite television stations had reported him kidnapped.
Youssef Raad, married to an Iraqi and himself a truck driver between Lebanon and Iraq, said that the Lebanese charge d'affaires in Iraq, Hassan Hijazi, had reassured him that he would find out what had happened to his son.
The man's parents have appealed to Muslim religious authorities in Iraq and international organisations to help find their son, who vanished while on his way to become engaged to a cousin on his mother's side.
Lebanese have been hard hit by a wave of kidnappings targeting foreigners in Iraq for political or criminal reasons, with one of them, a telecommunications company employee, beheaded in June.
Two Lebanese truck drivers kidnapped in Iraq on August 6 were released on Monday, along with a Syrian colleague.
