Turkish Wrestler Wins Bronze Medal In Beijing 2008

BEIJING - Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler Nazmi Avluca claimed Thursday a bronze medal in men`s 84 kg category after toppling China`s Mai Sanyi in Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
Avluca powered to the medal in the last two periods with 5-0 and 6-0 leads despite a knee injury.
With the latest bronze, Turkey is now at 25th place on the overall medal standings with two medals. Turkish weightlifter Sibel Ozkan last week won a silver in women`s 48 kg weightlifting.
