Iraq's Head Of State Al-Yawer Welcomed With Full Military Honors

ANKARA - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer welcomed on Monday Iraq`s Head of State Ghazi al-Yawer with full military honors at Presidential Palace.
Deputy Parliament Speaker Sadik Yakut, Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul, State Minister Kursad Tuzmen, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler and other officials also attended the ceremony.
Al-Yawer earlier visited Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk, the founder of Turkish Republic. He laid a wreath on Ataturk`s Mausoleum and observed a minute of silence.
Sezer will have a tete-a-tete meeting with al-Yawer and host a luncheon in his honor.
