BUDAPEST - A Turkish Airlines (THY) plane en route from Istanbul to Frankfurt made emergency landing in Budapest, Hungary due to bomb threat, sources said late on Sunday.
Sources stated that THY Flight TK 1597 airplane on its way from Istanbul to Frankfurt made emergency landing at Ferig Hegy 2/B Airport in Budapest after bomb threat, noting that passengers on board the plane were evacuated.
Security personnel then searched the plane, but they did not find any bombs or explosive. Later, passengers were allowed to get on the plane.
