Efforts Continue To Rescue French Mountaineer Injured Climbing Demirkazik Mountain

NIGDE - Efforts continue to rescue a French mountaineer who was injured when climbing Demirkazik Mountain in Camardi town of central Nigde province, sources said on Sunday.
Sources told the A.A correspondent that a French mountaineer was injured after a boulder fell on her head when she and other six French and two Turkish mountaineers climbed near Dipsiz Lake at 3 thousand meter of altitude.
Mountaineers asked officials to rescue injured French mountaineer.
A helicopter carrying gendarmery search-rescue team came to the region, but it could not land at the place where mountaineers were waiting for help due to poor visibility. Rescue team decided to continue its efforts in the morning.
On the other hand, Nigde nature sports search-rescue team and Middle East Technical University (METU) Mountain Climbing Club members are also expected to arrive at the region.
