ANKARA - Turkey has earned 5.8 billion U.S. dollars from privatization since the beginning of 2008, the officials said on Sunday.
2,040 million USD has been obtained from privatization of Petrochemical Holding Co. (Petkim).
Privatization of Tekel (Tobacco, Tobacco Products, Salt & Alcohol Enterprises Inc.) has brought an income of 1.7 billion USD to the country. The country earned 1.9 billion USD from public offering of Turk Telekom.
