ANKARA - A "social restoration" process will begin in nine provinces under the Southeast Anatolia Project (GAP) of Turkey.
State Planning Organization prepared a social assistance program to meet social needs and boost social prosperity in the southeastern provinces, authorities told the A.A correspondent.
The program includes social projects aiming at boosting employment rate, diminishing poverty and supporting cultural and sportive activities.
A fund of 600 million YTL is expected to be used for the projects in Adiyaman, Batman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Kilis, Mardin, Siirt, Sanliurfa and Sirnak by 2012.
