ANKARA - Turkey has donated 100 thousand USD humanitarian aid in a bid to extend relief to flood victims in the the Republic of Moldova, Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
Five days of rain caused rivers to overflow in the tiny European country, destroying scores of houses. Nearly four thousand people were evacuated from the disaster-hit region.
Turkish Red Crescent also sent four trucks of humanitarian aid to the Moldovan Red Cross, the statement said.
