ANKARA - Turkey`s Foreign Ministry expressed uneasiness over the clashes between Georgians and South Ossetians.
Releasing a statement on Friday, Foreign Ministry called on parties to stop clashes and military acts, and begin direct talks.
The Ministry said Turkey was worried about the incidents, which started on Thursday and turned into wide scale clashes today. It stated that the clashes, which killed and wounded many people, were still continuing.
"Turkey thinks its neighbor Georgia should solve its problems through peaceful ways. We are expressing this view both on bilateral level and international forums," added the Ministry.
