ISTANBUL - Turkish mobile phone operator Turkcell increased its net profit in the second quarter of 2008 to 531.7 million YTL (458 million USD), a 44 percent rise over the same period of last year, the company announced on Thursday.
Turkcell said that revenues rose 9 percent in the second quarter over the same period to 2.18 billion YTL. (1.88 billion USD)
The company said monthly income per subscriber stood at 18.5 YTL.
