JERUSALEM, Aug 15 (AFP) - A Palestinian was shot dead Sunday by an Israeli border policeman he had stabbed in the neck near the entrance to Jerusalem's Old City, security sources said.
The border policeman was said to be in a moderate condition after the attack near the entrance to Damascus Gate, the sources added.
The Palestinian's death brought to 4,230 the overall toll since the September 2000 launch of the intifada, or Palestinian uprising, including 3,232 Palestinians and 927 Israelis, according to an AFP tally.
