Northern Cyprus Starts To Celebrate 30th Anniversary Of Second Phase Of Cyprus Peace Operation

DENKTAS: ''IT IS TIME TO COME TOGETHER''

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) started to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the second phase of Cyprus Peace Operation on Saturday.
Delivering a speech in the ceremony to commemorate soldiers who died in the operations between August 14th and 18th, 1974, TRNC President Rauf Denktas said that Turkish Cypriots would not give up their state.
''Referendum was left behind. Now, it is time to come together,'' Denktas stressed.
Denktas said that the world should give up considering Greek Cypriot administration a ''legitimate government'', otherwise Cyprus issue would never be solved.
