International Sculpture Biennial Begins

ISTANBUL - The 1st International Sculpture Biennial organized by Maltepe University and Joint Administration of Turkish Culture and Arts began in Istanbul on Monday.
Sculptors from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan,Bashkortostan, Tatarstan and Crimea are attending the biennial which takes place at the main campus of Maltepe University.
Delivering a speech at the inauguration of the biennial, Rector Prof. Dr. Kemal Koymen said sculptors would work together during this biennial under the theme "Peace and Tolerance" for one month and they would have opportuntity to share their practical and academic background with each other.
