ISTANBUL - Turkish interior minister said Saturday that most of the suspects in last week`s double bombing in Istanbul have been arrested.
Two blasts killed last Sunday 17 people including children and a pregnant woman, injuring 154 others in Istanbul`s Gungoren district.
"The incident has been brought to light without any doubt according to accurate evaluation and strong evidence, and most of the perpetrators have been put into custody," Besir Atalay told a press conference at Istanbul Police Department.
"Our evaluation is that it is a merciless, inhuman action of the bloody separatist terrorist group," Atalay said when asked by a reporter to name the organization behind the attack.
The interior minister also said the suspects were also the perpetrators of an earlier bomb attack on a tea garden in Istanbul`s Buyukcekmece district, which has injured ten people.
