Izmir International Fair To Open In August

IZMIR - Turkey`s Aegean city of Izmir is set to host in August its 77th International Fair, gathering over 1100 firms from nearly 60 countries.
Speaking at a press conference regarding the preparations for the fair, Izmir Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu said the guest of honor of this year`s event would be Cuba.
Kocaoglu said 17 different events would be held during the fair such as performances of international marching bands, folk dances and sailing races.
The week-long fair will kick-off on August 22.
