KONYA - The death toll rose to 13 after a building collapsed in the central Anatolian province of Konya early on Friday.
A building, used as a girl student dormitory in Konya's Taskent town, collapsed around 5 a.m., killing 13, governor Osman Aydin of Konya told AA correspondent.
Earlier, the death toll was announced as 11.
Aydin said that at least 20 students were wounded, and said that 40-45 students were staying in the dormitory.
"There may still be 10-15 students under the rubble," Aydin also said.
Aydin said that medical rescue teams had reached two students under the debris, and they responded to the teams.
Efforts are under way to rescue these two students, the governor also said.
