ANKARA - After completing a 13-hour debate on 7 bills, Turkish parliament took a two-month recess on Friday.
The parliament is scheduled to convene at 3:00 p.m. on October 1st, 2008.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) chairperson Devlet Bahceli attended the last session of the current legislative year.
Speaking to A.A at the parliament, Erdogan said, "My deputy friends have completed a busy and exhausting legislative year".
Erdogan also thanked all the deputies from the governing and opposition parties for their efforts throughout the year.
