Greek Ambassador To Turkey Christides Wishes Olympic Games To Be Held In Peace

ANKARA - Greek Ambassador to Turkey Michael B. Christides wished 2004 Athens Olympic Games, which will start tonight, to be held in peace.
Christides said in his message, ''we hope Athens Olympic Games will be the beginning of the biggest and safest friendship and brotherhood sports festival among youths of our small world as well as a survival together in a greater understanding and peace among countries.''
''I guarantee that Greece hopes to host as many friendly Turkish citizens as possible. Thus, Greeks will have a unique chance to applaud and support the efforts of Turkish competitors. I sincerely wish that Turkish competitors will return from Athens with lots of medals.''
