ANKARA - A senior figure from the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party met Thursday with officials from the opposition parties to discuss a plan to recess the parliament as early as next week.
"We want the parliament to go on recess after debating seven draft bills today and tomorrow," said Sadullah Ergin, AK Party's acting group chairman in the parliament, after the meetings.
"There is an agreement among the groups on the issue," Ergin said.
