Turkish - Greek Youth Orchestra Performs In Athens

ATHENS - An orchestra comprising of young Turkish and Greek musicians gave a concert in the Greek capital of Athens on Tuesday.
"Turkish-Greek Youth Orchestra", made up of 52 Turkish and 50 Greek instrumentalists, gave a concert at the "Herodus Atticus Odeon" close to the historical Acropolis of Athens.
The orchestra, accompanied by Turkish pianist Gulsin Onay, played various pieces from renowned composers Edvard Grieg, Cesar Franck and Igor Stravinsky.
The orchestra also performed Turkish classical music composer Ulvi Cemal Erkin`s "Kocekce".
Many Greek classical music lovers and numerous Turkish and Greek officials attended the concert.
"Turkish-Greek Youth Orchestra" will give another concert at the "Roman Odeon" in the Greek city of Patras on July 30th.
