Iranian Envoy Sees Rise In Trade Volume With Turkey Till 2011

TRABZON - An Iranian envoy in Turkey forecast a rise in Turkish-Iranian trade volume by 2011.
Mohammad Rafi, the Iranian consul general in the northeastern province of Trabzon, said on Tuesday that Turkish-Iranian trade volume would reach 21 billion USD by 2011.
"Economic relations between the two countries were only around 500 million USD in 2002, and they were up by 16-folds in 2007 and climbed to 8 billion USD," Rafi said during his visit to the branch of the Independent Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) in Trabzon.
Rafi also said that the trade volume would reach 12 billion USD by the end of 2008.
