ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank said Monday it expected year-end inflation rate to reach 10.6 percent in 2008.
At a press conference to announce this year's third inflation report, Governor Durmus Yilmaz said that the year-end inflation rate would likely to be down between 5.9 and 9.3 percent in 2009, and drop to a level of between 4 and 7.8 percent at the end of 2010.
He also said the consumer price index was expected to fall to 5.4 percent in 2011.
Turkey's statistics board announced early this month that the annual inflation in consumer prices was 10.61 percent in June 2008.
