CIVILIAN MASSACRE FROM PKK
Civilians were the target of terrorism in Gungoren neighborhood of Istanbul yesterday. Fifteen people were killed while 154 people were wounded in two blasts that took place on a street closed to traffic. Seven of them were seriously wounded in the explosions.

NIGHT SORTIE TO MOUNT QANDIL
Warplanes of Turkish Armed Forces bombed the PKK camps at Mount Qandil early on Sunday. General Staff said in a statement that an effective air strike was conducted against PKK/Kongra-Gel targets located at Mount Qandil and all 12 targets belonging to the terrorist organization were bombed.

Terrorists, who detonated 2 bombs in 10 minutes on a road commonly used by citizens in Gungoren neighborhood of Istanbul, killed 15 people. In the blasts, 137 people were wounded, 14 of whom are in critical condition.
The bomb attack in Gungoren was described as "the first attack in which two bombs were activated consecutively" in Turkey. Experts said the attack was similar to the bomb attacks waged in Israel.

HISTORICAL CASE BEGINS
The process, which started upon the submission of an indictment by the chief prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals, Abdurrahman Yalcinkaya, on March 14th 2008, reached its most critical phase.
Constitutional Court will start hearing the case asking for the closure of Justice and Development (AK) Party and a political ban to be imposed on 71 people including Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan and former Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc. Starting from today, court members will convene every day and such gatherings will continue till a decision is reached.

Turkey was hit by two bombings late Sunday in Gungoren district of Istanbul amid controversies over the Ergenekon indictment made public on Friday and the closure case to take start today.
First bomb exploded in a trash can. Passer-by people who helped the wounded people were victims of the second explosion. It was blood all over the street. 16 people, including a kid and a pregnant woman, died and 154 people were wounded.
RDX type bomb was used in the attack at the pedestrianized street in the crowded time. This type of bomb was used in an attack at Anafartalar district in Ankara and the bombing near a private teaching institution in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir.
Police teams are now searching a man wearing a green t-shirt.

EYEWITNESS: IT`S TOTALLY A TRAP
Eyewitnesses told about the shocking bombings.
"We ran to the spot when we heard the first blast. We were trying to help wounded people. But just 10 minutes after, or maybe less, second bomb blew up. It was the devastating and deadly blast. It`s totally a trap," said an eyewitness.

The terrorist organization that was hit several times in the north of Iraq dastardly set a trap for innocent people in Gungoren district of Istanbul. Two bombs exploded in 15 minutes. 15 people were killed and over 150 people were wounded.

First bomb went off at 9:45 p.m. at a pedestrianized street which was crowded although it was late. Passer-by people rushed to the spot to help them.
Another blast occurred 15 minutes later. It was much more stronger than the first one. Its target was the people gathered around. Eyewitnesses said there were more than 1000 people around when the second bomb blew up.

Two bombs left in two separate rubbish bins exploded 10-15 minutes apart at around 9:45 local time in Gungoren neighborhood of Istanbul killing at least 14 people injuring more than 100 others. People who gathered in the scene of the first blast became the victims of the second and stronger explosion.

THREE KILLED IN MINE BLAST
A land-mine went off in Semdinli town of the southeastern province of Hakkari killing three people. Meanwhile, two out of three terrorists were killed as they were trying to stage an attack on the Provincial Security Department in the eastern province of Bingol.

BLOODY TERROR TRAP IN GUNGOREN: AT LEAST 14 KILLED
Two explosions took place in 10 minutes on a street in Gungoren neighborhood of Istanbul. At least 14 people were killed and 140 were wounded in the blast. Istanbul Governor stated that the bombing was a terrorist attack.

ERGENEKON EXERTED PRESSURE FOR A CASE TO BE FILED AGAINST AK PARTY, PROSECUTOR
Zekeriya Oz, prosecutor of the "Ergenekon" investigation, made interesting comments while assessing the assassination claims targeting the Supreme Court of Appeals, which was included in the indictment as one of the attacks planned by the organization.
Oz stated that "high level executives of the terrorist organization Ergenekon made serious attempts for the filing of a case against Justice and Development (AK) Party".

First a percussion bomb went off in Gungoren neighborhood, one of Istanbul`s busy shopping districts. When people rushed to the area to help the wounded, a second and strongest explosion occurred. Two bombs which exploded 10 minutes apart, killed 14 people injured 140 others. Fifteen of the injured are in life-threatening condition.
"It is certain that this is a terror attack," Muammer Guler, governor of Istanbul, said.
Three suspects aged 16-17 were arrested following the attacks.

CONSTITUTIONAL COURT TO BEGIN HEARING CLOSURE CASE
Turkey`s top court will begin hearing the closure case against the ruling Justice & Development (AK) Party. Under the Constitution, qualified majority of votes is required to disband a political party. Accordingly, at least 7 out of 11 members of the court need to vote in favor of the closure of the party.

Police are searching for a man aged around 20 wearing a green sweater.

PROSECUTORS CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR LIFE
Prosecutors carrying out the Ergenekon investigation have taken measures against the possibility of being poisoned. They do not drink and eat anything except for those cooked and prepared by themselves.
