Rockets Fired In Afghan Capital Hours After Rumsfeld Trip

KABUL, Aug 12 (AFP) - Two rockets landed in the north of Afghanistan's capital and in a neighbouring village just hours after a brief visit by US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said Thursday.
No one was injured in Wednesday's attack and one of the rockets failed to explode, a force spokesman Valery Putz told AFP, adding it was unclear where they were fired from.
At least five rocket attacks have targetted Kabul within a month. There have been about 20 such attacks since 2002.
Rumsfeld made a previously unannounced half-day visit to Kabul and met President Hamid Karzai under tight security.
General Richard Myers, chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff accompanied Rumsfeld.
During the brief visit, Rumsfeld warned that opium trade was threatening Afghanistan's future, tempering an otherwise optimistic assessment of the shattered state's progress towards its first presidential elections set for October 9.
