Turkish - Greek Orchestra Gives Concert In Turkey's Capital

ANKARA - A joint Turkish-Greek orchestra took stage in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Thursday.
Turkish-Greek youth orchestra gave a concert at Ankara`s Bilkent Concert Hall, and performed pieces of Greek composer Nikos Skalkotas, Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg, composer Cesar Franck of Belgian-German origin, and Russian composer Igor Stravinsky.
Turkish pianist Gulsin Onay performed as a soloist in the concert of the orchestra consisting of 52 Turks and 50 Greek musicians.
The orchestra will give a concert at Istanbul`s Lutfi Kirdar Congress & Exhibition Hall on July 26th.
The joint orchestra will later proceed to Greece and take stage at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens on July 29th and at the Roman Odeon of Patras on July 30th.
