ANKARA - Terrorist organization PKK, which recently intensified acts of human trafficking, drug smuggling and collecting rakeoff in order to raise funds, was busted in Austria while trafficking illegal migrants.
Three members of the terrorist organization PKK were arrested in Austria under charges of human trafficking and forgery.
Security officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, told AA on Thursday that Austrian police stopped a van on a highway in the city of Offenberg and arrested three PKK members who were helping 9 illegal migrants cross into the country.
Illegal migrants were deported and the three suspects were arrested. The suspects sought asylum in Austria in the past but were rejected on the grounds that they were related to the terrorist organization PKK, sources said.
The suspects will also be prosecuted for posters and t-shirts of PKK, which were found in the van.
