LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Mehmet Ali Talat and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias will meet on Friday within the scope of the new process for comprehensive solution negotiations in regard to the Cyprus issue as part of the March 21st agreement.
Talat`s meeting with Christofias will take place at the residence of Taye-Brook Zerihoun, special representative of the UN Secretary-General in Cyprus, in the buffer zone.

-NEW PROCESS IN PEACE TALKS IN CYPRUS-

TRNC President Talat and his Greek Cypriot counterpart Christofias met on March 21st, 2008 and agreed on establishing several working groups and technical committees towards a solution in the Island.
On July 1st, Talat and Christofias discussed many issues including "single sovereignty and single citizenship". The two Cypriot leaders agreed to meet on July 25th in order to assess the works of the groups and committees.
Talat and Christofias are expected to announce the beginning of negotiations in September during their meeting on Friday.
