WASHINGTON, Aug 11 (AFP) - The US federal budget deficit widened by 69.2 billion dollars in July, setting a new record for the first 10 months of fiscal 2004, the Treasury Department reported Tuesday.
The 10-month deficit stood at 395.8 billion dollars this year, up from 375 billion dollars over the same period of time last year, the figures showed.
The fiscal year ends in the United States on September 30.
The administration of President George W. Bush is forecasting a deficit of 445 billion dollars at the end of the fiscal year.
