IZMIR - Several Australian companies were interested in investing in Turkey, especially in transportation, investment banking, energy and alternative energy sectors, top Australian diplomat in Turkey said on Tuesday.
Ambassador Peter Doyle said at his meeting with members of Izmir Chamber of Commerce that there were significant investment opportunities in those sectors.
Doyle said trade volume between the two countries grew 30 percent last year to reach nearly 920 million USD.
He said Turkey and Australia could cooperate in education, adding that Turkish students could take advantage of education opportunities in Australia.
