TEHRAN, Aug 11 (AFP) - A journalist with Iran`s official news agency IRNA has been kidnapped in Iraq, the agency said Wednesday.
An IRNA employee told AFP that the journalist, Mostafa Darban, had been in the neighbouring country since May 27. It was not immediately known when and precisely where he had been seized.
His kidnapping follows that of Iranian diplomat Fereydoun Jahani, who went missing on August 4 on the road leading from Baghdad to Karbala, in central Iraq, where Tehran had just opened a consulate.
