Turkish Musician Hits American Jazz Charts

ISTANBUL - Turkish pianist and composer Fahir Atakoglu`s latest album "Istanbul in Blue" is being picked up by many radio stations in the United States and now it tops the jazz charts in "world music category."
"Istanbul in Blue" is the 38th most played album in Top 200 jazz albums chart.
Atakoglu said being at the top of the charts was a dream of every musician.
"It is a great success for me and for Turkey," he said.
Fahir Atakoglu, a major composer, arranger and pianist who is famous in his native country, is becoming increasingly well-known in the United States.
