CANAKKALE - The wooden horse which was used in the movie ''Troy'' was brought to northwestern Canakkale province on Wednesday and parts of the ''Trojan Horse'' started to be put down to atelier of Canakkale Municipality.
Mayor Ulgur Gokhan said, ''parts of 'Wooden Horse' will be assembled in our atelier. Assembly of the horse will be completed in mid September.''
The ''Trojan Horse'' of 12 tons is composed of 350 pieces.
The Warner Bros Entertainment Japanese Inc. donated the horse to the Canakkale governorate.
The horse is expected to be displayed during the 41st Troy Festival in Canakkale in the coming months.
The ancient city of Troy, known as the center of civilizations, is in Canakkale.
Charles McLaren found in 1822 the ruins of Troy left from Hellenistic and Roman Ilion, at Hisarlik district of Canakkale.
