GAZA CITY, Aug 11 (AFP) - At least 12 Palestinians were injured when an Israeli helicopter gunship fired a missile at the Khan Yunis refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip early Wednesday, Palestinian medical and security sources told AFP.
Medics said three of the injured were in critical condition, while security sources confirmed that several of the injured were armed.
Shortly before the strike, around 22 Israeli tanks, jeeps and bulldozers moved into the western side of the camp and began destroying houses, completely razing at least two structures, security sources said.
Exchanges of fire between troops and gunmen were also heard in the area, they said.
