President Talat Met Ban

It was stated that President Mehmet Ali Talat met with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in Berlin, the capital city of Germany yesterday.

The meeting which was started in Adlon Hotel at 14:00 with local time and continued about one hour was realized in a positive atmosphere.

Moreover, it was stated that President Talat expressed the vision of the Turkish Cypriot side for a permanent solution in Cyprus to the UN Secretary General Ban, and Ban expressed his demand for the negotiations to start for a comprehensive solution in the island and added that both himself and the international community were hopeful for the developments.
