After the presentation of government's resignation to King II Albert by Belgium Prime Minister Yves Leterme, political chaos prevail in the country. Prime Minister Leterme declared that the `federal system reached its limits'.
Yves Eterme who established the coalition government in Belgium on 20 March 2008 resigned on the 116th day. Eterme stated that there were view differences among Walloon and Flemish groups in the issues of reforms and these were insurmountable.
On the other hand the Belgium Senate approved a draft law aiming at "encouragement of the negotiations towards reuniting Cyprus".
Draft law prepared by Senator Philip Monfils was approved by 53 `yes', 4 `no' and 4 `abstaining' votes.
