Canada To Host 2007 Football World Youth Championship

ZURICH, Aug 10 (AFP) - Football's World Youth Championship in 2007 will be held in Canada, FIFA announced Tuesday.
World football's governing body said the decision was taken by its emergency committee last week, partly to allow the construction of a new football stadium in Toronto in time for the championship.
The only other candidate to host the tournament for under 20 year-olds in 2007 was South Korea.
Brazil won the 2003 world youth championship and will be defending their title in the Netherlands in June 2005.
