SILOPI - U.S. citizen Christian Cruf, who was captured at Habur border pass with 60 bullets as he was entering Turkey from Iraq, was released from prison on Tuesday.
Mehmet Ihsan Kalkan, the lawyer of Cruf, submitted a petition to the High Criminal Court in Sirnak and requested the release of his client. The court taking into account the request, decided to release him.
Cruf who works for a U.S. company in Iraq tried to enter Turkey from the southeastern Habur Border pass ten days ago, but customs officials detained him when they found 60 bullets and 2 cartridge clips for Kalashnikov rifle and a mask in his bag.
