20 SECRET WITNESSES IN INDICTMENT
The indictment of the Ergenekon investigation features statements of 20 secret witnesses. The identities of witnesses are withheld for security reasons, and their names are ciphered.
The indictment was written in 13 months. The 2,445-page indictment mentions incidents that would drive Turkey into chaos, and the meetings Ergenekon members held in foreign countries.
The indictment which will be made public tomorrow mentions three allegedly attempted coups named Sarikiz, Ayisigi, and Eldiven and one that would yet be planned by the Republican Working Group.
The Ergenekon indictment mentions Hrant Dink assassination, the armed attack on State Council members and regards them as acts that would drive the country into chaos.
SOCIETY FACES DANGER OF SEPERATION
Deniz Baykal, leader of Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party, said the politics in Turkey had been running off its course for the past six years. "Certain circles are trying to transform the country into a society that is viewing each other with suspicion. Is there harmony and peace at the top of the government? The government is at odds with the judiciary and universities," said Baykal.

THREE MARTYRS IN A DAY
Two Turkish troops have been killed in a mine blast in the eastern province of Tunceli while another soldier has died in clashes with terrorists in the neighboring province of Sirnak.
TANKER HITS SHORE IN ISTANBUL
A Singapore-flagged tanker has hit the shore in the Istanbul Strait due to a rudder problem. The tanker "Aral Sea" went adrift in the strait after a problem in its rudder, and hit the shore near a park in Sariyer district, causing damage in the park. Also, three mansions were inundated by waves after the accident. The 244-meter tanker was heading from Malta to Batumi city of Georgia.

The indictment about the Ergenekon terrorist organization will be made public tomorrow. The indictment includes depositions of a number of witnesses. Twenty witnesses were not identified for security reasons. Instead, they were ciphered.

A woman has become deputy undersecretary of the National Intelligence Agency (MIT) for the very first time in the history of the agency.

HAIR RAZOR-SHAVED, AND SENT TO SOLITARY CONFINEMENT
Abdullah Ocalan, was sentenced to solitary confinement for sending orders to terrorist organization PKK through his lawyers. His hair was razor shaved in line with procedures, it was reported. Acting Chairperson of Democratic Society Party Emine Ayna, said "shaving his hair without his will is a provocation."
HUGE TANKER CHRASHES INTO SHORE
A 244-meter ship tanker, of Singaporean registry, which was en route from Malta to Georgia, crashed into the shore in Sariyer while crossing the Istanbul Strait towards the Black sea. The tanker anchored and hardly stopped. The park at the shore was heavily damaged.

"THEY ARE CREATING DISINFORMATION"
Head of Turkey's Union of Judges and Prosecutors denied allegations that he received briefing from ret. Gen Hursit Tolon.
Omer Faruk Eminagaoglu said this was just another fabricated scenario and added that he has never received briefing from anyone in his entire life. He said the media came to the forefront in the Ergenekon investigation which was carried out secretly. "They are aiming at creating disinformation, causing confusion in people's minds, and laying the grounds for further steps in the indictment by molding the public opinion." said Eminagaoglu.
SENER WELCOMED LIKE PM
Abdullatif Sener, one of the founders of the Justice and Development (AK) Party, was welcomed with slogans chanting "Sener for prime minister" during his first trip to Konya after his resignation from AK Party. A placard placed along Sener's path with his picture said, "Anadolu is waiting for you" .

A PICTURE OF MILITARY COUP PLOT
During the Ergenekon probe, it was claimed that retired Gen. Hilmi Ozkok was concerned about being poisoned during his term in office as the chief of the General Staff. In an interview with the Radikal daily, Ozkok said, "I have a sensitive stomach. My wife is quite fastidious about my health. She used to cook meal and send to office for me. That was all."
LEAVE HEADSCARFT ASIDE, DEAL WITH HEALTH
The Prime Ministry Office Directorate General of Human Rights has revealed its report for 2007. According to the report, only one person applied to the directorate general by claiming that her right of education was violated because of headscarf. Most of the complaints conveyed to the directorate general are about health, maltreatment, property and environment.

SARKOZY PLEDGES: UNION FOR MEDITERRANEAN IS NOT AN ALTERNATIVE
President Nicholas Sarkozy has sent three letters and three special envoys to convince Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to attend the Summit on "Union for Mediterranean" to be convened in the French capital Paris later today. Sarkozy pledged that Turkey would have the status of a EU-member state.

PANDAR SAYS CIVIL COURTS SHOULD DEAL WITH COUP ATTEMPTS
Retired Gen. Nursafa Pandar, former president of the Military Court of Appeals, has indicated that the Military Penal Code was amended under Turkey's adjustment to the EU norms. He said that civil courts should deal with military coup attempts under the new Military Penal Code.
THY TO FLY TO IRBIL AND BAGHDAD
Turkey and Iraq have signed an aviation agreement. Accordingly, Turkish Airlines (THY) will starts flights to Irbil and Baghdad in Iraq in the coming days.

FULL HEAD ON, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER AK PARTY IS DISSOLVED OR NOT
PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he did not believe that the Justice and Development Party would be dissolved. "No body can ignore the AK Party today. Nobody can deny the AK Party fact. We will continue on our path," said Erdogan.
SEA IS FINISHED
A ship tanker named "Aral Sea" of Singaporean registry crashed into the shore in Sariyer district of Istanbul. The waves that were caused by the impact of the crash, flooded basements of three mansions with water.
When the 244-meter ship of 58,000 gross tons hit the shore, it hurled a motorcycle parked along the road, to an height of 7m.
